Sydney Sosoo

Sydney Sosoo is the Partner Business Manager for West and Central Africa, responsible for building and executing partner sales strategic plans that drive account engagement between VMware and partner field sales and specialists.He leads the African chapter for Blacks in technology at VMware.

Prior to this role, he was the Senior vArchitect(Solutions Architect) in DellEMC responsible for crafting some of the largest IT enterprise ecosystem designs within and outside the shores of Nigeria. He has also held numerous positions ranging from Technology consultants (HP/HPE West Africa) to Level 2 understudy engineer in HPE India.

He was selected as one of the three leading consultants across EMEA to provide technical guidance on HPE composable infrastructure to HPE esteemed customers across the region. As a Level 2 understudy engineer, his role was providing technical support around HPE high-end storage platform to customers across EMEA, Asian Pacific and Japan. A member of EMEA HPE vTeam responsible for SAP-HANA technical engagements.

He is an avid supporter and promoter of tech education within the sub-continent of Africa, some of his engagements revolve around an initiative called Cloudtechie, designed to harness and impact cloud and security skills to young graduates and as well as those with intermediate tech skills in aforementioned areas.

He is a huge AI and Blockchain enthusiast dedicated to exploring the safety side of Artificial general intelligence to the benefit of mankind, he holds a strong utopian view on AI.
